The school was established by SGRR education mission in the year 1981 in the heart of the city near Kamleshwar Mahadev Mandir . The school is the gate way to SGRR Institute of science & technology and Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital and medical college. It has a magnificent school building equipped with modern aminities. It has a team of highly qualified, motivated and hardworking teachers.

It has a huge play ground having facilities like volley ball court, football field, badminton court and cricket practice pitches. The school is running classes from I to X. Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School Srinagar has achieved high water mark by distinguished performance of the students in the field of academics, extracurricular activities, sports and in many other inter school competitions.
